"THE GREAT DIVIDE" CD. D-side translated.
After
releasing a mulititude of CD-r and tapes, the german label Fich-art
(managed by Asche) released its first pressed CD with the first
release of our compatriot Paul Lavigne a.k.a Eva|3
who spent 4 years producing it. This slow maturation shows in the
listenning of "The Great Divide" escaping the categorisation to one of
the industrial sub genres. Eva|3 can
play with monotonous repetition (crawling), abuse a serial-like piano
part with abrasive spitting sounds (The excellent "Low Secret Dreams"
is an ideal opening to the album), as well as pushing everything in the
red with dry rhythmss and metal in fusion (Rejected by Both) to fight
on the same ground as S.I.N.A with the help of the Venom Seeds punk
singer Riotmiloo (Sweet Abuse) whose voice gives the sonic
texture of the chilling "The Black Lodge" or to embrace the most
abrasive noise ("Little Inside So Addicted"). Add to the equation some
inspired and deserved participation of Asche, Lith and Philipp
Münch (Synapscape/The Rorsarsch Garden) and you obtain one of the
most recommendable industrial album of these last few months. by Jean Francois Micard
